Cloud based High Performance Content Serving

Just trying to conceptualize the tool chain for cloud based high performance web farm.

https://www.varnish-cache.org – front end high speed reverse proxying web cache

http://nginx.org/en/ – backend web server

I believe that cloud providers like Rackspace and Amazon have in house teams that can set this up and even have a way of automating bringing extra web servers online with the correct content to cope as demand rises

In the past it was get a big server, now it’s add an extra instance to cope with extra demand
