Find all files of a specific type in the current and descendant directories
Here I am looking for the highly annoying Dia .dia~ files

dir /b /s | findstr "dia~$" > dia_backup_list.txt

Delete the files using the list that was created by the above

for /F "delims=" %i in ( dia_backup_list.txt ) do @del "%i"
