Getting around IE misrendering a title with forward slashes in it

Written by James McDonald

On the recent posts menu I have a title:

squirrelmail /usr/games/fortune is not found.

Internet Explorer 7 somehow mis interpreted the forward slashes as HTML entities and I had a gap between the previous title and the “squirrelmail /usr/games/fortune is not found.” which was then diplayed in the right hand pane below all the content in the lefthand content pane.

The fix single quoting the /usr/games/fortune path e.g.
squirrelmail ‘/usr/games/fortune’ is not found.

Now my titles render in the correct way in both Firefox and IE7
