I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and installed latest Nvidia Game ready driver and am now noticing Google Chrome displays a black screen or switches between that and normal. Can’t use Chrome

How to work-a-round Google Chrome screen flashing black or all black

  1. Start Chrome and disable GPU acceleration on the command line – This will allow you to access the settings
cd C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application

.\chrome.exe --disable-gpu
  1. Go into Chrome Settings and search “hardware” and then disable the “Use hardware acceleration when available”
