I’ve been yo’yoing (a word only Words with Friends would accept) between Ubuntu and Fedora and during my periods at the Apogee from one or the other distribution I find I want to do something in one or the other that I know the command of in the other or vice versa.

So my question for today was how do I do an apt-get build-dep gimp in Fedora

The answer:

yum-builddep gimp

The reason I want to build Gimp from source is that Gimp 2.7.3 finally has one Window instead of the pallet explosion effect it has at the moment and I want to try it.

Later out.

PS. I’m thinking of entering the 1st sentence in the worst blog sentence of 2011. What do you think?
