Today I was sitting in a shopping centre food court waiting for my wife to return.

So I indulged in a spot of people watching. One particular person caught my eye. This woman had a hot chip in each hand and she was waving them both in the air. It almost looked like she was going to use them to take someones temperature and was shaking the mercury to the end of each. Another erant thought I had was she was slightly deranged and was conducting an orchestra in her head using the chips as batons.

Only after I took note of two baby strollers containing two small children did I realise she was trying to cool them enough to give to the toddlers.

Just goes to show that if you let your imagination run wild you will think up all sorts of things to explain what you don't understand.
