If you have ever wondered why sometimes your cake dd()
output looks like this:
And then other times looks like this:
The reason is that the CakePHP/Repl
plugin uses symfony/var-dumper
and this package has a version of dd()
that loads its own version of dd() so the CakePHP 4 global dd()
function load is skipped
The output is then rendered as per the first image
If you don't use bin/cake console
then you can safely remove remove cakephp/repl
and have the default output which includes a nice copy-to-clipboard function.
