Yesterday I received about 9 suspicious SPAM/phish emails into my Microsoft 365 inbox
It looked like a provider had been compromised and then a flood of email had been sent out. The email alias they sent to was the one I publish on the contact page of this website
I moved all the dodgy emails I received into a sub folder of my Inbox so I could investigate further and just now found they are all gone
I have continuous backup on my Microsoft 365 account so I went back through history and found they had all gradually disappeared this morning over the period of an hour or so
Were they deleted? Yes and No. I just checked my quarantine and found the emails had been removed from my mailbox and relocated to quarantine
So just a heads up to anyone that may notice emails disappearing it could be Microsoft retroactively shifting SPAM/phishing mails to quarantine. So check your quarantine
