Office 2003 to Office 2010 Upgrade / Install Fails with Office 2003 Installation is Corrupted Message

I tried uninstalling office 2003 but it still threw the same "Office 2003 Installation is Corrupted..."

Deleting HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\11.0\DELIVERY fixed the problem and allowed Office 2010 to install successfully.
