If you are doing Linux network installs and you don’t want to go to the bother of installing a full Apache &/or IIS environment on Windows try Mongoose

http://code.google.com/p/mongoose/

Just download it into the folder in which you are sharing files from and execute it.

They you can get to them via wget or a browser via http://your_pcs_ip_address:8080
