Getting Skype running on Fedora 16

Download and install the latest skype rpm ( I installed Skype (Beta) Version 2.2.0.35)

Try it and you get missing libs… libQtDbus and libQtgui and all sorts of missing libs

So run ldd /usr/bin/skype to track down what’s missing then go and install the packages

# I'm not sure which packages exactly got my box working but these I installed
yum install libstdc++.i686
yum install dbus-qt3.i686 # nothing happened
yum install dbus-qt3.x86_64
yum install qt-x11.i686 # this worked.

# this is what was missing before I installed the above
