Problem: Using Scribus 1.4.3 on Windows 8.1 and every time I launched it it displayed “not responding”.

Cause:  Scribus finds a new font but can’t finish loading due to not having sufficient permissions to add the font. (I think)

Resolution: Run as “Administrator” and launch it. Then close and re-open as a non-administrative user.
